Code encryption thread.

okay people first of all I can tell you how. First you need GCNcrypt (found in the download section of GSC), secondly you need your code (also found on GSC ). You now have all the needed tools to encrypt your codes. Now you need to find a game ID. You can do this 1 of 2 ways we have some lists on the main site. or you can just decrypt an exsisting code with the auto detect box checked. now just take your code copy and paste it in left side of the GCNcrypt window. Hit encrypt and you now have a code that will work with the GCN AR.

If you can't do this for whatever reason then just posat the code to be encrypted the name of the game and its region in this thread. Then a kind person may do it for you. If it is not done do not get pissy and startin g whining.

Well i now have GCNcrypt but I'm not really a hacker,i have a problem though,I'm testing it to see if it's working which I'm sure it is but I'm doing it wrong,here(Its that one for Paper Mario which tentitive wanted encypting :

The second line is the same but the top isn't,is it something to do with changing the ID because i changed it to 2F6 but it still wasn't the same,I have the format on US as well?

That first line? Never worry about the first line, it's a random acceptable value given to make all of the remaining lines work. If there was no identification line needed, then you would end up only using the second line of the two, which would make encryption pointless.

End summary: The first line does not have to match, only the other lines.

EDIT:I'm trying to change some values for the battle mods in Tales Of Symphonia. The game ID is 2D0:

I replace all the ?s with 0022 so it turns out like this:

If I remember correctly...decrypt the [M] code to get the Game ID, then keep that and encrypt your code again. If the game ID isn't what you noticed from decrypting (or is 0), then it's faulty ID creation.

well when i encypt a different code it works fine,(Zelos know has Flamberge),it was an equipment modifier,it might not have been NTSC i dont know,I'm encrypting other codes at the moment and they all work fine.Thanks.

Okay thanks for the tips everyone. But how do I encrypt the codes properly for AR? When I enter them the way they are on the site, it says that they are invalid codes. When I try to encrypt them, it says they are either invalid or for another game. What am I doing wrong with the encryption?

Try and decrypt the (m) code for this game. You will then see a 3 digit number in the lower left corner. That's the Game ID number. That must stay there when you encrypt the codes. And offcourse the Region must say USA for this game.
