    Default About GSCentral

    Founded on January 22nd, 1998, Gameshark(tm) Central had one focus: to support the creation of original GameShark(tm) codes. Founder Jim Reinhart created the first code on the website that prompted the creation of thousands of unique, strange, and amusing codes. Some of our codes even allow the user to perform actions or play levels in videogames that the developers never intended to be used. In recent years, Gameshark(tm) Central changed its name to GS Central due to complications with Interact, the ex-North American distributor of the cheat device. GS Central continues to create original GameShark(tm) codes without any pop-up ads or sign-up fees. Our focus is to support the GameShark(tm) device with the same quality of codes in the past while maintaining our ever-growing library of Game Genie(tm) and Pro Action Replay(tm) codes for the retro systems. With usually two or three updates per week, we make adjustments to the site in order to fulfill these goals. Whether it is adding a new cheatcode or fixing a broken link, we will go the extra mile for the game enhancer community. The staff at GS Central is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions and requests that you or someone else may have.

    GS Central is a multi-platform gaming site that is aimed at all gamers. Our focus is to provide the largest database possible of of GameShark(tm), Game Genie(tm), Pro Action Replay(tm), and regular cheats. There's no need to spend hours searching on search engines for a specific code. If a code has been found, it is on our website. Our cheatcode coverage of well over forty systems is unequaled, our game enhancer codes second to none.

    Currently, I'm playing a bunch of iPod Touch/iPhone games you've probably never heard of! But, if you must know, I'm playing Illusia, Zenonia 2, Hybrid 2, and Chaos Rings, all of which are RPGs made by Gamevil aside from the last, which is made by Square Enix! Download them all. NOW! :D

    But... I don't know if it was there waaay back, but we have a rule now: Don't revive topics older than a month old. If a topic was a couple hours past it, it's OK. The lone exception is a sticky... stickies can be revived at anytime, no matter how old.

    Hi everybody, I'm new! Well, not really..

    Nearly 13 years ago I created a site on geocities.com dedicated to new gameshark codes, primarily for the n64. The site had codes not found anywhere else in the world and quickly gained attention from gamers and gameshark fans. I encouraged visitors to share the codes with everyone and just give a reference whenever possible. Viewers began contributing their own codes and ideas almost immediately and the site seemed to take on a life of its own. I was surprised at how quickly GameShark Central took off and I was completely unprepared for the responsibility. I was just turning 16 and was more interested in girls and dreams and finding myself. So after a year or so I left the site.. And Rune, or Jedi, as he was known at the time, kept it going ever since.

    I can't commend Rune enough on the excellent job he has done!

    I check in every now and then and am amazed not only at the fact that the site is still going strong, but that the community is so excellent. You guys really have something nice here, and it makes me happy to know that I had a small hand in it. It's funny how actions so small can bring on a tidal wave of events in the future, or change the course of many lives.

    I wish I had been a bigger part of your community the past dozen years, and I will try to visit more often.

    If you're wondering who I am.. My name is Jim, I'm 28 and I live near Philly. I'm recently went back to school for game development and it's sweet so far. I've wanted to make games for more than half my life, so hopefully I'll finally get the chance. Five years ago I started a battlefield clan with some friends. Today we host servers for battlefield heroes and vietnam. tko.clanservers.com Like gsc, we have a terrific community of friends that have been with us for years and I encourage you to check us out if you play any BF game.     It was such a pleasant surprise to see you listed underneath the GSCentral Facebook page. I am also very pleased that you approve of the direction we have taken GSCentral website well over a decade after the website was first established on Geocities.
