Ive been following every tutorial i could find, and have done everything that ive been told, but it still just wont take. then i heard that theres a mod chip needed. what is it and do i need it?

Extractor error code (-1)

I have installed all the complete programs for the homebrew channel. My problem is the game extractor and installer to load different cities from animal crossing city folk. Whenever I go to extract the 'modified file (codes used)' to save to the sd card I get the error (-1) on the extractor program in the homebrew channel. Also, during game play all the codes work until I save more than 3 times on the wii before I try to extract the files. So after 3 saves the codes stop working. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have had to reformat my sd card 5 times today and played around with the codes. Now I am worn out of making progress and now can not save this to my sd card and the codes no longer work. :( is there a way to fix this??)I thank you so very much!!!!Misty
