Home Alone 2 has a screen modifier, but the code is currently faulty with some execptions. There's a hidden feature in the game: A Continue screen! I have no idea how this got into the game, but it seems to be unused. It uses "The Bad Guys" as the music. To listen to that, the Home Alone 2 SPC set is at SNESMusic.org. To access the unused game over screen, enter 7E045A03. This can also be used to view scenes in the game, although I haven't found them all, but be careful. Some of the values in bettween certain numbers don't have a scene or level at all, and any access to a level results in a glitched out screen, although gameplay is not touched.

The same goes for Zenkoku Jyudan Ultra Shinri Game, only a lot less glitchy. The only value to stay away from is 20, which glitches out the game. Any value should pretty much work... to do that just put in 7E04A1xx. The only bug is that you have to disable the code to go somewhere else.

7E099Exx - Anything other than "00" or "01" (listed above) will power your ship up and make it look like another sprite ("03" is the 1-up sprite, for example, while most others are various enemy ships)
7E096305 - No enemies while code is on (disable before you reach a boss or even it won't be there and you won't be able to finish the level)

7E008700 - Ship is always blue (thus, it always flies above level architecture; useful because you can't shoot while under architecture )
7E008701 - Ship is always orange (thus, it always flies below level architecture and because of that, oftentimes cannot fire; apparently there's invisible architecture during boss fights, so you can't fire then so you'll want to turn it off for those)
7E062E00 - Most enemies do not appear (only bosses at the end of the levels)
7E062Cxx - Same enemy appears over and over again ("xx" can be any number of values... "00" is the first enemy that normally appears in the game, "FF" is an enemy that dies in one hit and takes its entire squadron with it, etc.)

One more Caravan Shooting Collection code. This one is for Hector '87.

7E008A01 - Play even after you die (i.e. your ship will never explode). This'll protect you from collisions, which infinite energy doesn't help with. Note that flying through objects that should have killed you outright can make the game run pretty slow while it repeatedly detects the collision. In other words, you're basically invincible, even though your energy meter will drain down to nothing.

Note that this code also works differently than the invincibility code already on the site in that with this code, you CAN collect bells and unlike the invincibility code, enemies pass harmlessly through you rather than taking damage on collision.

I'll hold off on posting any Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius (J) codes until I see what today's update contained, so as not to reinvent the wheel.

As an aside, has any consideration been given to marking games with an "also known as" indicator? Game Genie codes are almost always going to work only with one region's release of a given game, but RAM-based PAR codes usually work with all releases of a game, whether it's Japanese, European, North American, beta, or whatever. Sure, I know that the Japanese Parodius da! Shinwa kara Owarai he was released as Parodius: Non-Sense Fantasy in Europe, and most PAR codes for one will work with the other, but does everyone?

The following codes force the character select cursor to a specific character. These codes can be used to allow both players to play as the same character (which can be confusing since both characters will look identical ).

How about a code that makes the menu look like you have all the levels?

7E1F2Exx where "xx" equals the number you want it to display (in hex, of course). 96 is the normal amount of exits in the game so setting it to 96 (60 in hex) would be a "complete" game (any value of 96 or above shows "*96"; well, a star rather than an asterisk, but you get the idea). You have to save the game at least once to have it take effect.

I'm being silly, I know, but this code really does work .

So I cannot take credit for some of the codes I make just cause I converted them to a different version? So who should my Ness Status, Paula Status, and Poo status codes be credited to? Thanks to my effort; Mother 2 actually has some codes now. Before, it only had 2, which were just debug menu codes; now it has 186 PAR codes with more varieties and choices. "1" is the smoke/cloud weapon
"2" is the electricity weapon

Because of how the game works, powering down your current weapon by one step when you are damaged and killing you if the weapon cannot be powered down further, using a weapon that's locked at max power will make you unkillable while said weapon is equipped.

You slide in the direction you should have been moving while on frozen logs or turtles, but the logs and turtles don't scroll sideways. There are more codes than lines of logs, turtles, and cars because one of the lines jumps RAM location on occasion.

The space for your name is normally limited to 7 characters, but you can easily extend that to 10 if you don't mind overwriting your number of lives (and it won't affect your number of lives, either). Here are codes for those first 10 characters, but you can extend it the entire length of the line if you don't mind overwriting other stuff like "TIME" and your opponent's name. I'll leave it to you to extrapolate those codes if you're feeling needful; you could even backstep and replace your character's face with additional characters if you wanted.

Finally, some new PAR codes for one of my favorite games (got the cart coming in the mail from Japan; it coming inspired me to take another look at what I could do with a little PAR hacking).

Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie (J)

7E0A1500 + 7E0A1700 - All modes move very slowly

7E0A1501 + 7E0A1701 - All modes move as fast as the robot/battloid/battroid mode normally does

7E0A1502 + 7E0A1702 - All modes move as fast as the hybrid/guardian/gerwalk mode normally does

7E0A1503 + 7E0A1702 - All modes move as fast as the jet/fighter mode normally does

7E0A1506 + 7E0A1704 - All modes move twice as fast as the jet/fighter mode normally does

7E0A1509 + 7E0A1706 - All modes move thrice (3x) as fast as the jet/fighter mode normally does

The first code of the code sets affects horizontal and vertical movement while the second code affects diagonal movement. Note that diagonal movement is calculated differently than horizontal/vertical movement, so if you tweak these codes and want matching speeds for both, you'll need to adjust your values (making them nice even multiples of the default values is easiest).

Notice, too, that the hybrid mode is actually just as fast as the jet when moving diagonally. Weird, huh?

I posted these codes last week, but at the time I hadn't realized they didn't work until you died at least once.

7E025301 - Invincible (player 1)
7E025401 - Invincible (player 2)

Unlike the first set of invincibility codes, you don't need to die once for them to become active, and you don't flash like the first codes cause. On the downside, the plasma shield (aka shield unit) will NOT work with these codes active (which doesn't really matter because the shield just makes you invincible for a few seconds).

7E023C0x - Main weapon power (player 1)
7E02460x - Main weapon power (player 2)

Normal values range from "0" to "9" (which is the normal max). The Japanese version of the game starts each player with "0" power, while the North American and European versions start the player at "5". Note that you CAN downgrade your weapon to "0" with codes in the North American and European versions. Values outside this range produce glitched weapons with varying effects.

You cannot pause the game while this code is active. Disabling the code while the music is disabled, then pausing and unpausing will restart the music.

7E02E401 - Advanced Mission activated

This will flag the game to think you're playing the second playthrough (equivalent to beating the game once and going through the second time). Enemies are harder to kill, shoot faster, and in some cases are recolored. Plus, you get a slightly different ending.

Tetris 2, a rarity with SGB but more common to find the other original non-SGB version with CC, and CB but only if you pause the game and Press A button at any time while leaving the game paused. I still don't know if the original Tetris for gameboy has different colors then A-3 (the one with the rare "Unknown" "TYPE A" Song) I'm still too lazy to post every game that has pare-determined colors And because not only do I NOT have every game known but I will do so eventually and with the help of others. I have made a code that let's you switch colors in SGB Mode but the first castle border loaded will not load. 022-3DF. In order to use this code you must disable it while at the title screen then turn it off after to make the borders switch according to game. You can also use this code to keep a border you like.

If you want weird SGB unchangeable colors 022-CCF. Weird Inverted colors? You can also use this code in conjunction with the above one.

SNES PAR Codes:
