The online database was initially updated some time ago. I sympathize that many codes have been added to the website and aren't visible online.
There is interest to make "certain tinkerings". The last time I gave rough predictions, they were held against me which was rather unfortunate. So this code loads the stage minus the correct background, and handles every stage in the game except the skull stage for some reason. The second address that was listed seems to be only a compare for this address and actually has no meaning outside of the compare. Still working on the background modifier and possibly unlocking the offset that triggers the skull stage. There are some odd values such as a cpu only version of glacius's stage and an unused eyedol stage at 00.

You need to have a bank modifier for the instrument and the other music related settings for each song. This is the same problem with the Donkey Kong Country 3 music modifier I made a while back, and the Donkey Kong Country music modifier made by someone on Youtube recently. Minor colour glitches at character select. It seems that characters are almost hardcoded into the game. If you have the value set to Venom (02) when starting a new game, the game assumes you have reached the New York Street 2 level. However, you aren't actually transported to that stage and you can actually play as Venom from the beginning of the game! It's interesting that the programmers chose to do that.

I do like yours however because it gives the ability to walk on water (aka Jesus Mode). Also 2 less lines make it more compact (Mine used a noop for each direction where it encountered a forced position). But there are a few things both codes don't allow you to walk through such as the 2 lumber jacks sawing the tree down, the movable door in the church, along with a few other random things. Now if we just had a code to prevent the looping glitch when entering a part of the map that is not normally accessible. Very nice none the less.
